Storytelling as a marketing tool
In a digital landscape filled with noise and a highly competitive pension market, PFA chose to use podcasting as a marketing tool to stand out. Den Lyse Side is a podcast featuring well-known individuals who share their worst life crises and most difficult periods. The host, Mette Cornelius, facilitates the conversation, using empathy and engagement to encourage guests to share their powerful and often heartbreaking stories. PFA acts as the subtle sponsor of the podcast, allowing the conversations to stand on their own.

Life-affirming stories that create hope
Powerful stories can always find an audience, but only if they are told without ulterior motives or moralizing. Big emotions like grief, despair, insecurity, anxiety, and hopelessness are allowed to live within the narratives of Den Lyse Side, giving listeners something to relate to. The well-known personalities share their life crises credibly, and by the end of the conversations, they often create hope for the future with life-affirming insights and experiences.
SpeakerBee's role
At SpeakerBee, we are experts in high-quality audio and video. Sound is naturally crucial when producing a podcast, and our setup ensures truly optimal audio. Additionally, all podcast episodes were recorded on video, making it possible to repurpose the content for posts on platforms like Facebook and Instagram. The studio and the setting for the recording are also important, as the difficult stories being told require a safe and comfortable environment. SpeakerBee set up both the studio and the meeting room to ensure the conversations could take place in peace and quiet, with the utmost consideration for the guests.
Collaboration with the production company
The production company Human Touch created the podcast Den Lyse Side for PFA, with host Mette Cornelius helping to shape the conversations and unfold the stories. High demands were placed on production quality and post-editing. Consequently, the production was a close partnership between SpeakerBee and Human Touch. It was essential that the studio, audio, and video were 100% ready for every recording, allowing Human Touch to focus entirely on the conversation with the guests.
The result
Since the spring of 2025, PFA has released 40 episodes of Den Lyse Side, creating content that listeners can return to time and again. Den Lyse Side has also linked the PFA brand to the difficult moments in life, creating a subtle bridge to health insurance and well-being. With guests such as Thomas Bo Larsen, Laust Sonne, Søs Egelind, Kim Faber, and Alex Vanopslagh, Den Lyse Side has demonstrated that the podcast format is exceptionally well-suited for creating a platform for corporate communication.
The new marketing tool
Within a limited marketing budget, the podcast format can be a key element in a company's marketing strategy. With good content delivered in a relaxed manner, podcasts have more substance than traditional marketing, and communication typically takes place on eye level with the target audience. Furthermore, podcasts can be listened to on the go, for example during a walk, or watched as a vodcast on Apple TV in the living room. The content has a long shelf life and can be edited into short clips for social media, websites, and newsletters as teasers for the full episodes. In short, there is a new marketing tool available that can create a different kind of impact with quality content on a limited budget.
